We are seeking an experienced EE / PCBA Engineer to join our client, Bro Rad Laboratories, on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating electronic architectures and PCBAs for advanced robotic and life science systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electronic architecture from system requirements to PCBA board level.
- Design PCBAs incorporating microprocessors and motor control drivers.
- Handle mixed-signal electronics design, including component selection, schematic entry, PCB layout, board bring-up, and verification for prototypes and NPI manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Perform hardware testing at instrument level and provide actionable feedback.
- Lead and manage configuration of all hardware changes across instrument fleets.
- Own and maintain all EE components in SAP/PLM environment.
- Prepare and maintain full engineering documentation, test protocols, and compliance reports in a regulated environment.
- Plan, prepare, and lead EE design reviews, ensuring accountability and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic/PCBA engineering.
- Proficient in OrCAD and Altium Designer CAD tools.
- Strong expertise with microcontroller devices and circuit design.
- Skilled with lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Excellent troubleshooting experience in resolving EMI/EMC/ESD issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills effective team player.
- Familiarity with life science industry safety standards (IEC61010, risk management) preferred.
