To support the educational development of residents by delivering lessons, monitoring academic progress, and assisting in the coordination of tuition and learning resources. The Education Officer works closely with tutors, Welfare Officers, and other stakeholders to ensure residents achieve their academic potential while supporting holistic growth in alignment with the Home's values.
Education Development
Support the implementation of the education support framework within the Home, ensuring alignment with local ministry standards.
Assist in creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each resident.
Monitor and track residents academic progress, reporting areas for improvement.
Support strategies to improve academic performance and bridge learning gaps.
Assist in identifying learning challenges and life skills needs.
Maintain and update the Academic Module in Odoo for tracking purposes.
Manage weekly tuition schedules and lesson plans under guidance from senior staff.
Lesson Planning & Teaching
Use in-house academic resources to assist residents in their studies.
Deliver English, Mathematics, and Science lessons for primary or lower primary residents.
Teach basic literacy and numeracy skills to lower primary residents.
Follow lesson plans and provide suggestions for improvement.
Tutor Management
Assist in the recruitment and coordination of qualified tutors.
Support monitoring of tutors performance.
Assist in budget preparation for tutors remuneration.
Conduct basic inductions and briefings for new tutors.
Any Other Duties
Support MTFA/Darul Ihsan events and functions.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.

Behavioural: Patience, adaptability, professionalism.
Minimum GCE A Levels or Diploma in Education, Social Services, or related field.
1-2 years experience in teaching or educational support.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain within probation if relevant).
