Role Purpose
To lead and enhance the education framework within the Home, ensuring high-quality teaching, effective curriculum planning, and measurable academic progress for residents. The Senior Education Officer oversees and mentors Education Officers, manages tutors, develops educational strategies, and ensures compliance with educational standards to promote holistic resident development.
Education Development
Establish and maintain the education support framework within the Home in line with ministry standards.
Lead creation and review of IEPs for each resident.
Monitor and analyse academic trends develop improvement strategies.
Coordinate interventions for learning challenges and life skills needs.
Oversee design and reporting in the Academic Module in Odoo.
Plan and manage tuition schedules and lesson plans.
Lesson Planning & Teaching
Develop and maintain in-house academic resources.
Regularly review and update lesson plans.
Deliver advanced or targeted lessons as required.
Mentor Education Officers in effective teaching and resource use.
Tutor Management
Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding of tutors.
Evaluate tutor performance and provide feedback.
Manage remuneration budgets.
Conduct induction sessions and regular updates for tutors.
Any Other Duties
Represent the education function at MTFA/Darul Ihsan events.
Provide reports and recommendations to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Core: Educational leadership, decision-making, mentoring.
Technical: Curriculum development, programme planning, compliance monitoring.
Behavioural: Leadership presence, problem-solving, critical thinking.
Minimum Diploma in Education, Social Services, or related field.
3-4 years relevant experience, including supervisory or curriculum development.
First Aid and CPR certification (must obtain within 3 months if relevant).
Official Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.30pm
Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
