NUH Internship Programme(Jan 2027 – Jun 2027)

Curious about the inner workings of a hospital Join NUH on a 6-month full time internship to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational aspects of healthcare organisations. Explore critical functions of hospital administration such as operations, human resource, communications, and quality improvement that support the smooth delivery of patient care.

About NUH

The National University Hospital (NUH) is Singapore's leading university hospital, with a proud heritage dating back to 1905 with the establishment of what's now the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our strong ties with the medical school have shaped us into a unique institution, allowing us to seamlessly integrate clinical care with teaching and research. As a university hospital, we go beyond the realm of providing tertiary medical care. We are a hub of knowledge and innovation, attracting healthcare professionals who are passionate about pushing boundaries and making significant contributions to the field.

About the Role

The Education Office at NCIS is seeking a motivated and organised Education Intern to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a broad portfolio of educational initiatives across the institute. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone interested in medical/health professions education, oncology, programme coordination, and the emerging role of AI in healthcare education. Over six months, the intern will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of educational programming — from event logistics and content development to communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Educational Programming & Events
  • Coordinate and run the NCIS Grand Rounds, including scheduling speakers, liaising with presenters, managing logistics (venue, hybrid/virtual setup, registration), and ensuring smooth delivery of each session.
  • Support the planning and running of the NCIS Education Series talks, from speaker invitations and calendar management to on-the-day facilitation.
  • Assist in the design, organisation, and running of workshops, including preparing materials, managing participant registration, and gathering post-event feedback for continuous improvement.

  1. Content & Resource Development
  • Contribute to the development of an Oncology Training Package for onboarding, helping to structure, draft, and organise materials that support new staff and trainees joining NCIS.
  • Design and maintain a centralised approach to collate AI resources across NUHS, creating an accessible, well-organised repository (e.g. a shared knowledge base or directory) that the community can easily navigate and contribute to.

  1. Communications
  • Produce a regular newsletter highlighting the adoption and innovative use of AI by members across NCIS, including sourcing stories, conducting short interviews, drafting content, and coordinating publication.
  1. Coordination & Administration
  • Provide organisational support for the range of education initiatives undertaken by the Education Office, tracking timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings for the Education Office, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

Kindly note the following:

  • Please attach the latest copy of your resume in your application.
  • Minimum full-time commitment of 25 weeks from Jan 2027 is expected. Interested applicants are required to indicate their available commitment period in their resume.
  • Applications will close on 30 November 2026 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We regret to inform that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
