We're looking for a motivated individual to start early intervention program and vision therapy (training provided) at our practice.
What You'll Do
Hands-On Intervention
- Work directly with children who need additional developmental support
- Conduct developmental screenings and assessments
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each child
- Deliver early intervention and vision therapy sessions (training provided)
- Track and document each child's progress
Parent & Teacher Support
- Conduct regular parent consultations to share updates and provide guidance for home
- Coach classroom teachers on how to better support children with additional needs
- Coordinate with external specialists (OTs, speech therapists, psychologists) when needed
- Make referrals to external professionals where appropriate
Program Development
- Build and shape the early intervention program from the ground up
- Continuously improve the program based on outcomes and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education, or a related field
- Min of 3 years Experience in early intervention, special needs support, or IEP development (preferred)
- Genuine passion for working directly with young children
- Strong initiative - able to take ownership and work independently
- Good communication skills for working with parents, teachers, and external professionals
- Must be available to work on Saturdays
Good to Know
- Work week: 5 or 5.5 days (open for discussion)
- Vision therapy training will be provided
