Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive intervention programme tailored to each child's Individualised Education Plan (IEP). Employ naturalistic strategies, differentiated prompts, and behavioural intervention techniques to support children's functional outcomes. Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to apply therapeutic strategies effectively. Create age-appropriate teaching resources aligned with children's interests. Foster a respectful learning environment by employing positive discipline and recognizing individual differences among children. Adhere to programme policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency protocols as necessary. Supervise Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides, providing mentorship in classroom management and instructional strategies. Conduct regular meetings to allocate classroom roles, brainstorm, and plan activities. Perform annual evaluations for Teacher Aides and participate in cluster discussions and event planning. Facilitate parent-teacher meetings, home visits, and case conferences as required.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Relevant experience in teaching children under 6 years in Early Childhood or Early Intervention settings. A valid First Aid Certificate is advantageous.
