Participate in interviews and initial assessment of prospective students with learning needs, particularly in regards to English as Additional Language, as required
Initiate appropriate assessment and testing of children referred by Class Teachers via the Vice-Principal and/or the Principal
Work closely with the Principal and the Vice-Principal to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and develop the EAL programme in EtonHouse
Liaise with Class Teachers in assessing and monitoring children's progress.
Work closely with teachers, Vice-Principal, Principal and any specialists to develop an individual education plan if required
Collaborate with staff in long term planning.
Take corporate responsibility for displays throughout the school.
Share management and delivery of assemblies.
Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school's performance and ethos.
Share your expertise.
Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional and career development.
Who are we looking for
Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Commitment to working in an educational environment that offers academic rigour and excellence in teaching
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sensitivity toward cultural diversities
Ability to build community through positive interactions with parents
