Job Summary
An e-commerce warehouse assistant or packer picks, packs, and scans items for online orders, manages inventory, and ensures timely, accurate shipments using barcode scanners and inventory software.
Responsibilities
- Select products from storage and pack them accurately for shipping to fulfill customer orders on time
- Process customer orders efficiently to meet shipment deadlines
- Count, label, and organize stock to maintain accurate inventory records
- Inspect items for accuracy and damages to ensure quality control before shipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse workspace to support operational efficiency
- Use barcode scanners and computer systems to track inventory and order status
- Operate inventory management software (e.g., BigSeller) to update stock information
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate physical stamina by standing for long periods, walking, and lifting items safely
- Show basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
- Operate pallet-jack and forklift machinery (considered a plus)
- Exhibit flexibility to work on weekends or rotating shifts
