Job Role Overview
Join our team as a DTP / Graphic Layout Artistin a role that bridges the gap between digital preparation and physical output. You will manage three key areas: preparing print-ready digital files, operating our digital printing presses, and coordinating directly with customers on their job specs. You'll also assist with CTP plate processing as needed. We're looking for a reliable all-rounder who is equally comfortable at a computer, at the printer, and handling client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical DTP & Pre-Press
- Artwork & Layout: Review and fix customer files for print-readiness, including precise typesetting and layout adjustments.
- Colour & Quality: Adjust colours for print and verify accuracy against actual printed samples.
- CTP Support: Prepare production-ready files and assist with CTP plate processing as needed.
Digital Print Production
- Press Operation: Operate digital printing presses and hardware (scanners/printers) to produce high-quality output.
- Production Readiness: Perform checks and documentation to ensure job feasibility before going to press.
Client & Team Coordination
- Communication: Handle customer enquiries via Email, WhatsApp, and Phone to clarify job specifications and deadlines.
- Workflow Support: Collaborate with Sales and Production colleagues to keep daily jobs on track.
- File Management: Organise and archive digital and physical artwork files for easy retrieval.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
- Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office for daily administrative tasks.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the print industry is preferred however, we welcome fresh applicants with a positive learning attitude.
- Communication: Good command of English to handle customer enquiries via Phone, Email, and WhatsApp.
- Meticulous Nature: A sharp eye for detail, specifically regarding alignment, spelling, and colour consistency.
- Work Style: Able to multi-task and stay organised in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliability: A proactive and responsible approach to deadlines and team collaboration.
- Priority: Preference will be given to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents.
- Availability: Candidates who are available to commence work immediately will be given priority.
