Class 4 Driver's main responsibilities include operating large trucks (such as 24-foot trucks or tipper trucks) for safe and timely transport of goods or passengers, performing vehicle maintenance checks, documenting deliveries, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation:Drive assigned large vehicles (Class 4) safely and efficiently to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Loading & Unloading:Manually or mechanically load and unload goods onto or from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Delivery & Logistics:Transport goods or passengers to designated destinations, ensuring timely arrival and following the best routes.
- Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, check fluid levels, and ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good mechanical condition.
- Documentation:Accurately complete and submit necessary paperwork, such as delivery notes, vehicle logs, and collection records.
- Customer Service:Interact professionally and courteously with customers, suppliers, and the public during deliveries and pickups.
- Ad-Hoc Duties:Perform other operational or operational duties as assigned by a supervisor.
- Manage all drivers and coordinate with the organisation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Class 4 driving license.
