You will safely transport patients to and from the Day Care Centre, assist with patient transfers and mobility, maintain accurate transport records, and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and safe patient transport services.
Major Roles& Responsibilities
- Plan and execute safe, effective daily driving routes for transporting patients to and from the Day Care Centre.
- Provide hands-on support to Day Care patients with transfers, ambulation, and toileting.
- Comply with all road safety regulations.
- Work closely with van escorts and actively participate in their training and competency audits.
- Escalate any van incidents to the Day Care Manager immediately.
- Notify Staff Nurse promptly if any patient becomes unwell during pickup or drop-off.
- Undertake to keep oneself well-informed on updated traffic guidelines and road diversions /new roads to aid in the efficient planning of driving routes.
- Assist in the planning and execution of transport arrangements for all patient outings.
- Ensure all p-to-date records of routes, mileage, equipment inspections, and maintenance and repair logs.
- Support ad-hoc dispatch duties required by other departments or organizational events.
- Maintains high standard of housekeeping and workplace organization at all times.
- Any other duties as and when assigned.
Job Requirements
Education / Professional Qualifications:
- Preferably with GCE O/N Level or NITEC qualification.
- Valid Class 3 driving licence without demerit points.
Skills / Experiences:
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Preferably bilingual and ability to communicate in local dialects.
- Confident in using Microsoft Word and basic Microsoft Excel.
Personal Characteristics:
- Possess strong sense of responsibility for safety, patient, considerate and courteous towards patients.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Possess strong passion to serve.
- Possess valid driving license.
