Draftsman Geotechnical / Foundation Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Draftsman to support our engineering and project teams in preparing and maintaining technical drawings for piling, foundation and geotechnical construction works. The role involves producing accurate drawings based on engineering designs, site requirements and project specifications, while coordinating closely with engineers and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise technical drawings for piling, foundation and geotechnical works using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Produce construction drawings, layout plans, sections, details and other drawings required for project execution and submissions.
• Prepare piling layout plans, pile details, setting-out drawings and other foundation-related drawings based on engineers design requirements.
• Convert engineering sketches, calculations and design concepts into clear and accurate technical drawings.
• Revise drawings according to comments from engineers, consultants, clients and relevant authorities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and site personnel to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and construction requirements.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings upon completion of works.
• Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions and consistency before issuance.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revision records and document control to ensure the latest approved drawings are used.
• Assist in preparing drawings and supporting documentation for tender, authority and consultant submissions where required.
• Carry out site visits and measurements when necessary to verify dimensions and actual site conditions.
• Ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with project specifications, company standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other drafting and project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Civil Engineering, Building, Architectural Technology, Drafting or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience as a Draftsman in the construction, civil engineering, piling, foundation or geotechnical industry is preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D or other relevant software would be an advantage.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with piling and foundation construction drawings would be advantageous.
