Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter & BIM Modeller to support our laboratory construction and engineering projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, developing BIM models, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.

The role requires close collaboration with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver accurate and coordinated design documentation for laboratory fit-out and M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare 2D shop drawings, detailed construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Produce coordinated M&E drawings for laboratory projects.
• Revise and update drawings according to project requirements and site conditions.
• Ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain proper drawing registers and document control.

BIM Modelling

• Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit or equivalent BIM software.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with architectural, structural, and M&E disciplines.
• Generate BIM-related documentation including schedules, sections, and quantities.
• Support BIM coordination meetings and resolve modelling conflicts.
• Ensure BIM models are updated according to latest project revisions.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Attend site meetings and perform site verification when necessary.
• Assist in technical submissions and coordination drawings for authority submissions.
• Liaise with fabrication teams and suppliers for technical detailing.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
• Support project documentation for SCDF, BCA, and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Maintain organized project files and BIM libraries.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, BIM, Drafting, or related field.
• BIM certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting/BIM modelling experience.
• Experience in laboratory, cleanroom, M&E, or construction projects preferred.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction standards and practices is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in:AutoCADRevit (BIM)NavisworksMicrosoft Office
• Knowledge of M&E coordination and construction detailing.
• Understanding of BIM coordination workflows and clash detection.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and within project timelines.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory construction or cleanroom environments.
• Knowledge of ACMV, laboratory gas piping, or electrical services coordination.
• Familiarity with authority submission requirements in Singapore.
