Job Summary:
Our client, a leading marine consultancy firm, is looking for DP Marine Engineer to support dynamic positioning (DP) system-related projects. The successful candidate will assist in technical documentation, engineering analysis and attend sea trials onboard vessels. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in the marine and offshore industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of Dynamic Positioning (DP) Trial Reports.
- Contribute to the development of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for DP systems.
- Attend sea trials onboard vessels to support system verification and data collection.
- Liaise with clients on technical matters related to DP systems and project execution.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and system drawings as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel on short notice, including for offshore assignments.
- Training and mentorship will be provided.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for drafting and system layout preparation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong command of spoken and written English for technical communication.
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong documentation skills, a keen interest in marine systems and the ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.
