Data Framework Developer (.NET / Big Data)
The Data Framework platform serves as the central data hub for Front Office Orders, RFQs, Trades, Transactions, Collateral, and Market Data. It supports data distribution, referential data management (clients, instruments), and regulatory reporting (MiFID II, SFTR, MAR, etc.), driven by an enterprise Data Dictionary powered by Collibra.
The Data Framework team is seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer with strong big data exposure to enhance and scale the platform. This role focuses on ingesting market and RFQ data across asset classes and distributing data through high-performance APIs. The environment is fast-paced, delivery-driven, and well suited to engineers passionate about data processing, scalability, and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business analysts, traders, and operations teams to translate trading and data requirements into robust technical solutions
- Design, develop, and optimize trade capture, validation, and enrichment workflows
- Integrate upstream and downstream systems including market data, risk, and settlement platforms using APIs and messaging frameworks
- Ensure performance, resilience, and accuracy across trade booking and data distribution processes
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues throughout the trade lifecycle
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous architectural and platform improvements
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and support user enablement when required
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer, ideally within financial services or capital markets
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and modern backend development practices
- Solid experience with SQL Server, including database design and performance tuning
- Working knowledge of trade booking systems, financial instruments, and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, FIX, or messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka) is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with large-scale databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and SDLC best practices
- Experience using Jira or similar issue tracking tools
