Job summary
1. Context of the role
You will join the DAA (Digital, Architecture & AI) department - a transverse technology department sitting at the heart of the organization's IT strategy.
DAA is responsible for:
Enterprise Architecture - defining and enforcing architectural standards and principles across all IT business domains.
Digital, Data & AI strategies and foundations - shaping the bank's strategic directions and delivering the underlying capabilities that enable transformation at scale.
Software Engineering Platforms - providing shared platforms, tooling and engineering practices (including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and software quality standards) that enable all IT teams across the organization to build, deliver and operate software consistently and at scale.
DAA's core ambitions are twofold: elaborating and enforcing these strategies consistently across all IT business domains and delivering the shared foundations and platforms that the entire organization relies on.
This senior role reports functionally to Global Head of DAA and it has broad visibility across all domains.
2. Expectations of the Role
Project-level responsibilities:
Define application and technical architectures - jointly with TPP department - in collaboration with project study teams, production teams, and business stakeholders.
Produce deliverables during pre-study and project scoping phases (functional use cases, general architecture documents, solution selection dossiers, etc.).
Ensure the quality of documentation produced, including updates to the application repository, application mapping, and detailed architecture documentation.
Cross-functional architecture responsibilities:
Contribute to and enrich the architecture reference framework, including the elaboration of technology roadmaps and the definition of shared technology foundations across the domain.
Ensure architectural decisions prioritize the full exploitation of standard technologies and specialized platforms, fostering convergence and limiting custom development to where it genuinely adds value
Federate continuous technology watch to anticipate emerging trends, assess their relevance to the ISR's strategic context, and maintain a forward-looking view of the technology landscape. Drive structured technology studies, to generate concrete, evidence-based insights that inform architectural decisions and reduce uncertainty.

3. Skills Requirements
15+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a proven track record in large-scale, complex environments.
Deep expertise in application and technical architecture, including cloud-native architecture (microservices, containerization, event-driven design, etc.) as well as technology upgrade/migration strategies
SDLC & Software Engineering Platform Mastery - Extensive, hands-on command of the full software development lifecycle at enterprise scale. Proven ability to define and govern engineering platforms, toolchains, and DevSecOps practices that drive consistency, velocity, and quality across large, complex delivery organizations.
Sound understanding of the regulatory and risk management landscape governing technology in financial services, including frameworks such as DORA, EBA ICT and TRM guidelines. Ability to embed resilience, third-party risk, and compliance considerations into architectural decisions from the outset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present and defend architectural choices to senior leadership.
Professional proficiency in English is required
