DMZ / GXE Network Implementation Engineer

Overview:

The GXE team is responsible for provisioning external B2B connectivity, performing critical infrastructure changes while strictly adhering to standards to mitigate risk exposure to the firm. GXE's role involves partnering with various LoBs tech teams for project consultation, collaborating with the GNS Risk and Controls team for addressing exceptions to engineering standards, and working with other GTI teams for service delivery.

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Network Engineers with 8+ years of expertise in configuring Cisco routers and switches. The Engineers will be responsible for implementing new external third-party connections, upgrading end-of-life hardware/software, configuring new hardware, and updating documentation. The ideal candidates must be proficient with Cisco networking equipment, able to communicate effectively with client's external and internal clients. They will collaborate closely with departmental engineers to ensure adherence to guidelines and processes, and engage in network troubleshooting activities to resolve connectivity issues. A CCNP certification is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth understanding and ability to configure Cisco routers (8300's, 4331's, ASR 1002's) and switches (Nexus 9k, 7k, 6k, 3k, 6500's, 3500's).
• Experience in configuring BGP, BGP EVPN, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE tunnels, IPSec, SSL, VPN, PBR, HSRP, DHCP, QoS, CoS, Priority Queuing, VLAN, STP, Trunking, MPLS, and other data communication protocols.
• Competency in performing TCP/IP subnetting and familiarity with Microsoft Visio for updating network topology.
• Basic firewall knowledge and understanding of tcp dump.
• Experience with F5 and Proxy (Plus), and basic understanding of DNS.
