Job Description

Job Summary

You will assist in student case investigations, supervise detention and IGNITE+ programs, support in-house suspension management, and provide administrative support to ensure effective student discipline and learning continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews for minor student incidents to gather accurate information.
  • Obtain statements from students and witnesses, compile evidence, and prepare structured incident reports for key personnel review.
  • Supervise students during detention (Monday to Thursday) and IGNITE+ programs (Monday and Wednesday) to ensure task completion and engagement.
  • Follow up with form teachers on students who miss detention to ensure accountability.
  • Design detention tasks to be meaningful and developmental for student growth.
  • Support school staff in managing students on internal suspension or missing class to maintain discipline and order.
  • Liaise with form teachers to support learning continuity for students during suspension periods.
  • Perform data entry for late-coming, offences, and intervention records accurately and timely.
  • Compile weekly or monthly discipline statistics as required to track student behavior trends.
  • Monitor student reporting channels to ensure proper communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information handled.
  • Review and improve detention, late-coming, and corrective work processes during school holidays.
  • Carry out other administrative and operational duties related to student management as assigned by the Authority.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Possess a minimum qualification of diploma.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and Google collaborative tools effectively.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in a uniformed service background (Police, Prison Service, or equivalent) with involvement in youth-related case investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Maintain a calm disposition and handle challenging student situations professionally.

Other Information

  • Working hours:
  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm (including 1-hour lunch break)
  • Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm (including 1-hour lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
