Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead and expand our trading business in construction and production machinery. The ideal candidate will oversee strategic planning, vendor and client relationship management, and the overall operations of the trading division. This role requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills, especially in Mandarin, to effectively liaise with Chinese clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the trading operations of construction and production machinery.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders, especially in China and other Mandarin-speaking regions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and clients.
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance, legal) to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of team members.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in machinery trading or related industry.
- Proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the construction and/or production machinery market.
- Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin is required, to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and vendors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
