about the job

As the Director of Trade Credit, Surety, and Political Risk, you will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of this specialized business unit. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing a robust business development strategy to expand the portfolio across Trade Credit, Surety, Political Risk, and Political Violence lines.

• Advising C-suite executives and risk managers on complex cross-border risk mitigation and capital relief solutions.

• Structuring and placing bespoke insurance programs with top-tier global insurers and reinsurers.

• Managing key relationships with financial institutions, export credit agencies, and corporate clients.

• Leading and mentoring a team of brokers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and sales performance.

• Monitoring geopolitical developments and economic trends to provide proactive risk insights to clients.

skills and experience required

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in Trade Credit, Surety, or Political Risk insurance broking or underwriting.

• Proven track record of originating new business and managing a profitable P&L or book of business.

• Deep technical knowledge of credit risk analysis, surety bonding, and geopolitical risk transfer mechanisms.

• Strong existing network with underwriters, decision-makers in financial institutions, and corporate treasurers.

• Excellent leadership capabilities with experience in managing or mentoring teams.

• Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
