As the Director of Trade Credit, Surety, and Political Risk, you will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of this specialized business unit. Your core responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing a robust business development strategy to expand the portfolio across Trade Credit, Surety, Political Risk, and Political Violence lines.
Advising C-suite executives and risk managers on complex cross-border risk mitigation and capital relief solutions.
Structuring and placing bespoke insurance programs with top-tier global insurers and reinsurers.
Managing key relationships with financial institutions, export credit agencies, and corporate clients.
Leading and mentoring a team of brokers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and sales performance.
Monitoring geopolitical developments and economic trends to provide proactive risk insights to clients.

skills and experience required
Extensive experience (10+ years) in Trade Credit, Surety, or Political Risk insurance broking or underwriting.
Proven track record of originating new business and managing a profitable P&L or book of business.
Deep technical knowledge of credit risk analysis, surety bonding, and geopolitical risk transfer mechanisms.
Strong existing network with underwriters, decision-makers in financial institutions, and corporate treasurers.
Excellent leadership capabilities with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
