Talent Acquisition Director

Location: Hong Kong (with oversight of Shenzhen team)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition (TA) Director to lead our recruitment function across Hong Kong and Shenzhen. This role will be responsible for driving the full talent acquisition strategy, managing a high-performing regional team, and partnering closely with business leaders to attract and retain top talent that supports our long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional TA strategy aligned with business goals and workforce planning needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop TA teams in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, fostering collaboration, capability building, and performance excellence.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to forecast hiring demand, define priorities, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and a strong candidate experience.
  • Drive data-driven recruitment decisions, using metrics and analytics to continuously improve hiring outcomes.
  • Manage recruitment budgets, vendor partnerships, and employer branding initiatives across regions.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on market intelligence, compensation trends, and strategic hiring decisions.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and COEs to ensure alignment with broader HR strategies (e.g., onboarding, DEI, retention).

Employer Branding & Market Insights

  • Strengthen the company's employer brand positioning in Greater China.
  • Leverage insights from the HK and Shenzhen talent markets to refine sourcing strategies and candidate engagement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of talent acquisition experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or regional management role.
  • Proven experience managing cross-border TA teams, ideally across Hong Kong and Mainland China.
  • Strong understanding of Greater China labor markets, recruitment channels, and employer branding.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a strategic yet hands-on approach.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, or fast-growing multinational environments preferred.
