What the day will look like

  • Leading the delivery of Strategy Consulting engagements for insurers, reinsurers and adjacent insurance ecosystem players across Asia, with Singapore as the home base
  • Owning and driving business development across key Asian markets (e.g., Singapore, India, Japan and broadly across the region), including identifying, shaping, and converting opportunities into signed engagements
  • Building trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite and senior executives, becoming a go-to partner for strategic questions and decision support
  • Developing and evolving go-to-market propositions for STG Strategy Consulting in Asia Orchestrating Aon United delivery by partnering with relevant Aon solution lines to bring integrated solutions to clients and open new avenues for collaboration
  • Leading multi-country teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, ensuring strong problem structuring, clear storylines, and practical recommendations that translate into execution
  • Coaching and developing team members, strengthening consulting toolkits (structured problem solving, hypothesis-led analysis, executive communication, workshop facilitation), and contributing to hiring and talent development initiatives

How this opportunity is different

This role is unique in that it offers the opportunity to help scale and shape a high-growth Strategy Consulting practice in Asia, leveraging Aon's market position, regional footprint, and global STG network. You will play a visible leadership role in expanding the firm's strategic relevance with insurers and reinsurers across Asia by delivering high-impact advisory work and building durable executive relationships.

You will be reporting to the Head of Strategy Consulting, Asia, and will form part of the regional leadership group shaping the practice's growth agenda, proposition priorities, and talent development.

There will also be significant opportunity to work with clients in-market across Asia, as required. You will have autonomy to shape your working day to maximize client impact, grow key relationships, and develop colleagues and the STG Strategy Consulting brand in Asia.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or insurance advisory, with demonstrable exposure to Asia insurance market dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of Asian insurance markets, including competitive landscapes, distribution models, regulatory context and growth drivers across key markets
  • Proven experience leading strategy engagements such as growth strategy, market entry, strategic planning, competitive intelligence, portfolio / product strategy, distribution strategy, and operating model / transformation roadmaps
  • Demonstrated business development capability, including opportunity shaping, proposal writing, senior-level pitching, and converting pipeline into wins
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills, including leading multi-market teams and influencing in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build compelling storylines and present confidently to senior executives
  • A pragmatic, outcomes-oriented approach with high ownership, strong judgment, and comfort operating with ambiguity
