Director, Product Payments Funds Out Singapore

We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Payments, to lead the regional execution and evolution of our funds-out payments strategy for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, which encompasses a significant proportion of the world's major money remittance corridors. This role will oversee a high-performing product team focused on expanding and optimizing our digital global remittance capabilities, critical to driving both near- and long-term growth for Western Union in APAC and beyond.

The Director, Product Payments Funds Out is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the funds-out product strategy across the Asia-Pacific region. This role owns the evolution of Western Union's payout capabilities across key remittance corridors, ensuring scalable, compliant, and customer-centric experiences.

You will lead high-performing product teams, partner closely with engineering, operations, compliance, risk, and commercial leaders, and drive innovation that strengthens Western Union's position as a global leader in money movement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the APAC Funds Out product strategy, aligned to global platform direction and regional market needs
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap definition through delivery, launch, and optimization
  • Build and manage a team of Product Managers across regional and remote locations, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture
  • Drive expansion and optimization of payout networks, including banks, wallets, cash, and alternative payment methods
  • Partners with engineering and platform teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant payout solutions
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure regulatory alignment across diverse APAC markets
  • Use data, customer insights, and market analysis to prioritize initiatives and measure product success
  • Act as a senior product leader and advocate across the organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels

Role Requirements

  • 710+ years of product management experience within financial services, payments, or fintech
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, managing and developing senior product talent
  • Deep understanding of payments, remittances, payout networks, or money movement ecosystems
  • Proven experience owning regional or multi-market product strategies in complex regulatory environments
  • Strong background in agile product development, roadmap ownership, and stakeholder management
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and near-term execution
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Experience working across APAC markets is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success driving platform modernization, scalability, or network expansion
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global organization
