A high-growth and well-established technology company in the energy and infrastructure sector is expanding its international presence across APAC, the Middle East, Europe, and other key global markets.
The business has built a strong foundation in large-scale infrastructure deployments within its core market and is now scaling globally while expanding into adjacent verticals including energy management, digital infrastructure, and emerging energy technologies.
This role is a foundational hire within the international team, responsible for building and scaling a global partnership ecosystem that will underpin the company's next phase of growth.
Role Summary
This is a builder role combining technical understanding with commercial leadership. The position is responsible for defining and executing the global partnership strategy, spanning technology partnerships, channel alliances, ecosystem relationships, and new market entry models.
The role carries direct revenue accountability, with ownership of partnership-driven pipeline and commercial outcomes across multiple markets and verticals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology & Product Partnerships
- Identify and establish partnerships with OEMs, technology providers, and platform vendors to strengthen the product ecosystem
- Manage the full partnership lifecycle including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and governance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align partnerships with product roadmap and market requirements
- Maintain a structured view of capability gaps and identify where external partnerships are required
2. Industry & Ecosystem Partnerships
- Build and manage relationships with utilities, infrastructure operators, system integrators, EPCs, and distribution partners
- Develop partner-led market entry strategies across international regions
- Evaluate and implement partnership models such as channel partnerships, joint ventures, and consortium structures
- Support large-scale tenders through partner coordination, structuring, and negotiation
- Drive ongoing partner engagement to ensure active pipeline generation and commercial alignment
3. New Market & Vertical Partnerships
- Lead partnership development for emerging business verticals such as energy management, digital infrastructure, and industrial applications
- Establish relationships with platform providers and ecosystem players to enhance solution capabilities
- Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities in adjacent sectors as the portfolio expands
- Co-develop go-to-market strategies with partners for new verticals
4. Innovation & Research Partnerships
- Develop relationships with universities, research institutions, and innovation ecosystems
- Support collaboration on R&D initiatives, emerging technologies, and product innovation
- Engage with government or grant-funded programmes where relevant
- Build structured programmes for academic collaboration and talent pipelines
5. Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape across key regions
- Provide insights into partnership models, procurement frameworks, and ecosystem dynamics
- Represent the organisation at industry events, forums, and partner engagements
- Support strategic decision-making through structured market intelligence
Revenue & Performance Accountability
This role carries direct ownership of partnership-driven revenue, measured through:
- Pipeline and revenue generated via partner channels
- Strength and depth of the partner ecosystem
- Speed and effectiveness of market entry across new geographies and verticals
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, alliances, or commercial leadership roles
- Proven track record of building and managing partnerships in technical or infrastructure-led industries
- Experience operating across international markets, particularly within APAC
- Demonstrated success in structuring and closing complex partnership agreements
- Experience working in high-growth or scale-up environments
