We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sports and Physical Education to lead our Sports and Physical Education department across the whole school.

Role Overview:

As the Director of Sports and Physical Education, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering an engaging physical education programme that promotes health, fitness, teamwork, and well-being among students from early years through to senior levels. You will lead the department with vision, ensuring high standards in teaching practice while fostering a positive sporting culture within the school community.
Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or related field (minimum requirement)
• At least four (4) years experience in teaching physical education within a UK curriculum setting
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or departments
• Strong knowledge of current best practices in PE pedagogy including assessment strategies
• Ability to develop inclusive programmes catering to diverse student needs across all age groups
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, parents, and external partners
• Competence in organising inter-school competitions, extracurricularactivities, and sports events
