Role Description
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and occupancy targets.
- Lead and motivate the sales team through mentorship, guidance, and clear performance objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture built on excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
Market Analysis & Strategy
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Partner with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand and marketing strategies.
Distribution Optimization
- Oversee all distribution channels including OTAs, GDS, direct sales, and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor channel performance, optimize pricing strategies, and negotiate contracts to maximize revenue and profitability.
Relationship Building
- Build and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients, TMCs, DMCs, leisure wholesalers, travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs, PCOs, wedding and event planners, and national tourism bodies.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms to strengthen market presence.
Revenue Management
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop competitive pricing, packages, and promotions.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies to stay ahead in the market.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team, promoting continuous learning and growth.
- Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present sales reports, performance metrics, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Leverage data-driven insights to inform decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales and distribution leadership experience with a proven track record of success.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in CRM and sales management software.
- Deep understanding of the Singapore hotel market and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.
- Willingness to travel and attend industry events as required.
