Position Overview

The Director of R&D Engineering will lead the strategic development of photonic technologies, including Smart FAUs, ELS and Hybrid product line. This role is critical to advancing our innovation pipeline, strengthening IP generation, and ensuring alignment with global commercialization goals. The position requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate emerging trends into scalable product solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute the R&D technologies, including Smart FAUs, ELS and Hybrid product line.
• Oversee design, simulation, and testing of photonic.
• Collaborate cross-functional teams to deliver commercially viable solutions.
• Manage related projects budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Mentor a high-performing R&D team, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Photonics, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in photonics R&D, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in developing and commercializing photonic products.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication, optical packaging, and system integration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with hybrid bonding, flip-chip, or advanced optical packaging.
