Director of Operations Prime Brokerage (Singapore)
A global prime brokerage and liquidity provider is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to join its Singapore office. This role will lead and scale the firm's operational function, owning processes across trade support, middle office, risk operations, and client onboarding, while partnering closely with trading and technology teams to support rapid global growth.
Key Responsibilities & Highlights:
- Execute and oversee daily controls across Digital Assets, FX, ETD, and Repo businesses
- Own and manage reconciliations (external bank, exchange, and client money), supporting CASS and regulatory reporting
- Identify control deficiencies and drive remediation and process improvements
- Support governance activities, including RCSAs, risk MI, and control documentation
- Partner with global operations teams and provide occasional weekend coverage for 24/7 oversight
- Drive automation and efficiency using SQL and Python within low-code tooling
Profile Sought:
- Background in Operations, Controls, Regulatory, or Operational Risk within PB or IB
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Technically capable (Python, SQL; VBA a plus) with an entrepreneurial, improvement-focused mindset
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
