Job Description

Role Summary

The Director of Marketing Singapore is a senior leadership role responsible for elevating the brand experience and ensuring flawless execution of all marketing initiatives and events across EtonHouse's Singapore preschools and international schools. As part of the Group HQ team, the role also supports global functions, cross-market initiatives, and projects across other EtonHouse brands within the portfolio as required.

This leader will build strong systems, coach mid-level managers, enforce high execution standards, and proactively identify risks to protect the brand at every touchpoint. The Director plays a central role in driving enrolment growth, strengthening the parent experience, and supporting strategic initiatives across the wider EtonHouse network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic and operational leadership

  • Lead with clear KPIs, accountability, and performance standards.
  • Translate group-level strategies into country-specific execution plans.
  • Oversee annual marketing planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for preschools and international schools.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across all school touchpoints, communications, and community events.

2. Events leadership and execution excellence

  • Lead the planning, execution, and quality control of all major events
  • Build and enforce comprehensive event SOPs covering risk assessment, vendor management, contingency planning, technical checks, and run-of-show protocols.
  • Oversee high-stakes events with multiple stakeholders, ensuring operational readiness, time management, and onsite command.
  • Conduct post-event reviews to ensure continuous improvement and learning.

3. Tech and digital understanding

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, performance metrics, CX, AI in marketing and social platforms.
  • Ability to guide teams on social media strategy, content optimisation, and audience targeting.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools, including CRM platforms, automation, customer journey mapping, and reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to work with vendors or internal teams on website enhancements, digital tracking, UX pathways, CDP and tech-based event solutions.
  • Understanding of AV technology, production tools, livestreaming, and digital event formats to ensure technical readiness at all events.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable improvements for enrolment and engagement.

4. Team leadership and capability building

  • Strengthen capability across content, events, digital marketing, design, and communication.
  • Introduce training pathways, skills matrices, and performance discipline to uplift team calibre.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, planning rigour, and collaborative problem solving.

5. Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with the Admissions leadership to align marketing initiatives with enrolment targets.
  • Partner with facilities and school operations to ensure venues, logistics, and technical infrastructure support seamless event delivery.
  • Collaborate with school principals and pedagogical teams to ensure marketing narratives, school tours, and messaging reflect the EtonHouse philosophy and parent expectations.

6. Vendor and budget management

  • Oversee procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management.
  • Ensure all creative, AV, production, and event vendors deliver to expected standards.
  • Manage cost efficiencies while upholding high-quality outputs.

7. Brand stewardship and quality control

  • Uphold the integrity and consistency of the EtonHouse brand across all Singapore schools.
  • Oversee creative direction, storytelling, and campaign execution.
  • Ensure digital, print, event, and social media assets meet brand guidelines.
  • Safeguard the parent and alumni experience through high-touch, thoughtful engagement.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 10–15 years of experience in marketing, events, brand management, or communications.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing managers and teams.
  • Experience in education is preferred
  • Strong portfolio of high-stakes events and brand campaigns.
