The Manufacturing Engineering Director will support new product development, newproduct introduction and cost out designing for existing product lines through sound execution of engineering principles and processes. A high level of hands-on technical capability and sound engineering principles are required to be successful in this position. Leads a team of engineers and provide coaching and guidance. Grooms, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function in the long sustainable manner.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
- Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
- Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
- Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology
- At least 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.
- Display pro-activeness and initiative.
- Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and lead teams toward common goal
