As the Senior Product Manager, you will drive product innovation and develop a robust product strategy that aligns with the Company's mission to deliver exceptional customer-centric solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in product management to spearhead initiatives that cater to a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for defence electronics (e.g. mission computers, platform comms electronics, sensors, C2 electronics).
- Align product direction with defence capability requirements, platform roadmaps, and long-term support strategies.
- Develop products with unique selling points while addressing emerging technology trends (AI, open architectures, modular electronics) relevant to defence platforms.
Market Research and Opportunity Identification
- Define target customer segments and map ecosystems to establish strong market links.
- Conduct thorough analysis of total addressable markets (TAM) and segment-specific growth projections (CAGR).
- Report on relevant market trends and competitive landscapes across various sectors.
- Deliver clear financial projections encompassing revenue, costs, and expected profit margins over a three-year horizon.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Development
- Design strategies to effectively introduce products to target markets, employing diverse marketing channels and sales strategies.
- Cultivate strategic channel-based partnerships and relationships to magnify market reach.
- Identify and monitor emerging electronics technologies relevant to defence platforms (e.g. AI accelerators, open‑architecture electronics, advanced sensors, secure processors).
- Establish early technical engagement with technology providers prior to formal programme insertion.
Channel Strategy Development
- Define the go-to-market strategy for channel partners.
- Identify target markets and partner profiles (distributors, resellers, system integrators).
- Align channel strategy with overall product roadmap and business objectives and defence capabilities needs.
Product Development Lifecycle Management
- Collaborate with development teams to articulate comprehensive product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.
- Evaluate technology readiness levels (TRL) and identify areas requiring additional R&D investment.
- Forge commercial partnerships with industry stakeholders.
Technical Feasibility Studies
- Assess the resource requirements for product development, including skilled labour and manufacturing capabilities.
- Evaluate the product's scalability potential to ensure it meets growing customer demands and market expansion.
Comprehensive Risk Assessment
- Identify any potential operational barriers, including regulatory approvals and customer adoption issues.
- Evaluate competitive risks, including threats from existing players and new market entrants.
- Analyze customer demand fluctuations and market variations that may impact overall projections.
Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, or a related field is required.
- >7 years of experience in defence, aerospace, or high‑reliability electronics systems.
- Proven experience in product management, particularly in managing electronics or embedded systems on defence platforms, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
