Role Overview
The Director (or Senior Manager), Client & Partner Implementation is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of partner and platform implementations for Liquid Group's payment networks and solutions. This role focuses squarely on external partner delivery, involving technical integration, UAT management, deployment readiness, and go-live execution.
This role is implementation-driven, with strong emphasis on readiness controls, delivery discipline, and multi-market coordination.
You will orchestrate highly cross-functional programs involving Product, Technology, Network Operations, Customer Operations, Compliance, and Commercial teams, ensuring that integrations for banks, wallet issuers, acquirers, merchants, and corporate partners are delivered with precision, stability, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implementation Leadership & Delivery Governance
- Lead the full implementation lifecycle from initiation to UAT, deployment, launch, and stabilization.
- Establish and enforce implementation methodologies, RACI structures, governance gates, and quality standards.
- Ensure projects remain within agreed scope, timelines, and delivery expectations.
2. Project & Delivery Management
- Apply strong project management discipline to plan, track, and control timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Maintain structured project plans, RAID logs, and cross-functional status reporting.
- Anticipate delivery risks early, establish mitigation plans, and drive timely escalation when needed.
- Ensure no timeline slippage by holding internal and external stakeholders accountable for their deliverables.
- Manage multiple partner implementations concurrently across different markets.
3. Platform Integration & Technical Delivery
- Own integration activities for banks, wallet issuers, acquirers, merchants, and network partners.
- Ensure partner integration requirements align with Product/Tech specifications and platform capabilities.
- Review API specifications, data flows, and technical architecture to ensure feasibility and readiness.
- Oversee configuration validation, routing setup, credentials, and connectivity checks.
4. UAT, Simulation & Production Readiness
- Drive UAT planning, test case review, scripting support, and partner acceptance testing.
- Coordinate environment readiness, deployment planning, certification (where applicable), and release sequencing.
- Validate all production configurations including settlement, reconciliation, routing, and dispute flows.
5. Go-Live Execution & Hypercare
- Orchestrate go-live events including cutover planning, command-centre coordination, and issue triaging.
- Lead hypercare periods to ensure stability, tracking defects and ensuring fast resolution.
- Drive early-stage incident reviews and root-cause actions for implementation-related issues.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product & Engineering on technical feasibility, delivery requirements, and environment readiness.
- Coordinate with Customer Operations for smooth transition to BAU support.
- Align with Finance, Compliance, and Network Operations on settlement readiness, KYC implications, reconciliation flows, and control requirements.
- Support Commercial teams with delivery timelines, integration feasibility assessments, and partner updates.
7. Process, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and refine implementation playbooks, SOPs, checklists, UAT guides, and integration documents.
- Identify systemic issues and propose enhancements across Product, Tech, Ops, or process flows.
- Strengthen operational and technical controls to reduce integration errors and improve quality.

Qualifications
- 812 years (Director) or 58 years (Senior Manager) in implementation, platform integration, delivery management, or technical project management.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder implementations across multiple markets.
- Familiarity with payment platforms, digital wallets, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, settlement flows, or API integrations.
- Strong cross-functional leadership experience across Product, Engineering, Operations, and external partners.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience with project management tools and frameworks (e.g., RAID management, Gantt tracking, Agile).
- PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ticketing systems, and technical documentation.
