Finance Director Private Equity Real Estate

As RealVantage scales, the firm is building institutional-grade infrastructure, governance, and financial leadership to support long-term growth. The Finance Director will play a central role in shaping and strengthening this foundation.

Role Overview

The Finance Director will lead RealVantage's finance function across funds, SPVs, and corporate entities, supporting platform scalability, financial governance, and institutional reporting standards. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep technical expertise in private equity real estate, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, multi-jurisdictional environment.

The role sits at the intersection of group finance, governance and fund operationsworking closely with the CEO and COO, while maintaining an independent reporting line to the Audit & Risk Committee.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Group Strategy

  • Serve as a trusted strategic finance partner to the founders and shareholders on all group-level corporate, capital, and financial matters, including treasury, liquidity management, and capital allocation
  • Own group-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term platform economics across all corporate and investment entities
  • Advise on and optimise the group's corporate structure, including holding companies, regulated entities, SPVs, and intercompany arrangements, to support scalability, tax efficiency, and governance
  • Oversee treasury operations including cash management, funding flows, banking relationships, and foreign exchange exposures at the group level
  • Lead financial oversight and consolidated reporting across all corporate entities, ensuring transparency, consistency, and institutional-quality reporting standards

2. Fund Finance & Structuring

  • Oversee finance and accounting across all RealVantage funds, SPVs, and holding entities
  • Review and manage capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, carried interest, NAV reporting, and valuation processes
  • Support fund and deal structuring, co-investment arrangements, and cross-border tax efficiency

3. Financial Control, Reporting & Audit

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across entities and jurisdictions
  • Ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate financial reporting to management, boards, and investors
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and relationships with fund administrators and external advisors
  • Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks aligned with institutional standards

4. Transaction Support & Fund Flows

  • Partner with the Real Estate and Investment teams on financial due diligence for transactions, including review of financial models, funding structures, and cash flow mechanics
  • Engage with banks and lenders on financing requirements, covenant compliance, and funding execution related to investments
  • Work with tax advisors to design and implement optimal transaction and holding structures
  • Oversee fund transfers and movement of capital across funds and SPVs, including capital deployment to sponsors, partners, and operating entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approved structures and controls

5. Regulatory, Risk & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with MAS regulations and applicable regulatory regimes across all operating jurisdictions in which RealVantage conducts business, including Singapore and other key APAC and global markets
  • Oversee financial risk management across the group, including covenant monitoring, liquidity risk, AML/CFT-related financial controls, and tax compliance across entities and jurisdictions
  • Contribute to the Group Enterprise Risk Framework, including ownership of Business Continuity Planning and financial resilience processes across markets

6. Reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee

  • Maintain an independent reporting line to the Audit & Risk Committee on matters relating to financial reporting integrity, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide periodic updates to the Audit & Risk Committee on audit outcomes, control effectiveness, regulatory matters, material financial risks, and remediation actions
  • Escalate significant financial, control, compliance, or risk issues to the Audit & Risk Committee in a timely and transparent manner
  • Support the Audit & Risk Committee in discharging its oversight responsibilities, including coordination with external auditors, regulators, and relevant advisors
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Group's audit, risk, and governance frameworks

7. Team & Platform Building

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across fund accounting, corporate finance, and treasury
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and enhancement of financial systems and workflows
  • Build scalable finance infrastructure to support RealVantage's next phase of growth
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative finance culture

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Professional qualification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA)
  • 815+ years experience in private equity real estate, fund management, investment platforms, or institutional asset management
  • Strong experience with fund and SPV structures, cross-border investments, IFRS (and/or US GAAP), real estate valuation, and performance reporting
  • Prior experience working with regulated entities and institutional investors is highly desirable
