Job Description

The scope

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Facilities organization, covering facilities engineering, operations, maintenance, utilities, infrastructure projects and technical support for a 24/7, 300mm (12-inch) semiconductor fab.
Develop and implement the site's long-term facilities strategy, capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with manufacturing output, technology requirements and future expansion plans.
Ensure the availability, reliability and operational readiness of critical fab utilities and infrastructure, including electrical power, HVAC, chilled and process cooling water, UPW, CDA, vacuum, bulk and specialty gases, chemicals, exhaust and abatement, wastewater and fire protection systems.
Lead major facilities engineering and CAPEX projects from concept, design and construction through commissioning, qualification and final handover, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
Establish and maintain robust reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, emergency response and business continuity programmes to minimize facilities-related disruptions to manufacturing operations.
Work closely with Fab Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, EHS, Quality, Finance and Procurement to ensure facilities infrastructure and capacity continuously support production and technology requirements.
Drive energy efficiency, resource optimization, sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site's facilities and infrastructure.
Build, develop and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary Facilities organization, while strengthening the pipeline of local engineering and technical talent and developing future technical leaders.

The requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Facilities, Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering and facilities experience, with substantial exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
Proven leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary facilities engineering, operations and maintenance teams.
Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor fab facilities, critical utilities and infrastructure systems.
Demonstrated experience managing significant CAPEX and OPEX budgets, as well as delivering complex infrastructure and expansion projects.
Strong understanding of facilities reliability, risk management, operational safety and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience operating within a 24/7 manufacturing environment with stringent uptime, reliability and operational requirements.

Key Skills & Attributes

Direct experience supporting or managing facilities operations within a 300mm / 12-inch semiconductor fab.
Experience in greenfield fab development, fab expansion, commissioning, ramp-up and/or major infrastructure upgrades.
Strong technical expertise across UPW, critical power, HVAC, process cooling, bulk and specialty gases, chemicals, exhaust and abatement, wastewater and fire protection systems.
Experience with facilities automation, BMS/FMS platforms and data-driven reliability and predictive maintenance programmes.
Strong track record in developing engineering capabilities, mentoring local technical talent and establishing succession pipelines.
Strong strategic planning, stakeholder management, problem-solving and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
Master's degree in Engineering, MBA or an equivalent advanced qualification would be advantageous
