The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, responsible for the long-term vision, planning, and successful delivery of all capital development projects. This role demands strategic influence over high-impact decisions affecting operational capacity, financial investment, and brand reputation.

Core strategic responsibilities include:

This entails comprehensive planning, high-value budget management, and rigorous control over the full project lifecycle.
  • Asset Strategy & Innovation: Driving the organizational strategy for long-term asset management, ensuring the continuous modernization of building systems. You will champion innovation in smart facility technology, advanced energy efficiency, and sustainability practices to reinforce the venue's world-class standing.
  • Operational Governance: Establishing high-performance standards for operational readiness, preventative maintenance, and statutory compliance, leading the facilities management function and external vendor relationships with an executive-level focus on efficiency and excellence.
  • Executive Reporting: Presenting strategic progress, financial justifications, and technical recommendations directly to senior management and key external stakeholders.

Required Senior Leadership Profile

This pivotal role demands a proven track record of strategic delivery and technical expertise within large-scale, complex environments. Candidates must possess a solid senior leadership experience in major facilities development, capital projects, and strategic asset management, ideally within large commercial property sectors.

A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or a related technical field) is mandatory. Essential competencies include demonstrated expertise in managing significant capital expenditure budgets, complex project stakeholder environments, and multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate must exhibit exceptional leadership, strategic foresight, and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills necessary for executive-level engagement.

The role also requires the capacity to work flexible hours and perform on-site infrastructure inspections.
