About the Role:
Are you a visionary search marketing expert ready to define the future of discoverability
Havas Media Singapore is looking for an innovative SEO & GEO Lead to build and lead our search capability in Singapore. Search is evolving rapidly beyond traditional SERPs into AI-driven discovery, conversational interfaces, and answer engines. In this newly created role, you will combine deep SEO expertise with a strong point of view on Generative AI Search, helping shape how we deliver SEO, GEO, and AI discovery for clients.
Reporting directly to the GM of Digital, SEA, you will own the agency's SEO & GEO capability in Singapore and act as the senior lead for SEO, GEO, and AI discovery engagements across key clients. You will shape the proposition, guide delivery, and work closely with Client Leadership, Content, Paid Media, and Data & Tech teams to integrate search into broader marketing and media programmes.
What You'll Do
- Build & Lead Capability: Establish and lead the agency's SEO & GEO capability in Singapore, defining the agency's point of view, frameworks, methodologies, and ways of working, while shaping how the capability is positioned, packaged, and taken to market.
- Lead SEO, GEO & AI Discovery Engagements: Act as the senior lead for SEO, GEO, and AI discovery engagements across key clients, owning the strategic direction and quality of search-specific scopes of work across technical SEO, content strategy, on-site optimisation, search visibility, and AI discovery readiness, while guiding offshore implementation support.
- Pioneer GEO Strategies: Develop and execute GEO strategies that help ensure clients brands are accurately and prominently represented in AI-generated responses and answer-driven search environments, advising on areas such as content structuring, source visibility, citation readiness, entity clarity, and discoverability across emerging AI interfaces.
- Lead Enterprise SEO: Oversee comprehensive SEO strategies across technical, content, and off-page workstreams for clients across Singapore and the wider region, including technical audits, site architecture reviews, content optimisation, and broader organic growth planning, ensuring recommendations are commercially relevant and aligned to business outcomes.
- Client Advisory: Serve as the senior strategic advisor for SEO, GEO, and AI discovery, translating search platform changes, algorithm shifts, and AI trends into clear, commercially viable recommendations for senior stakeholders, while supporting pitches, strategic opportunities, and growth conversations.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Work closely with Paid Media, Content, Data & Analytics, and Client Leadership teams to integrate search into broader omnichannel plans, partner on practical measurement approaches for SEO, GEO, and AI discovery, and ensure search is connected to wider marketing effectiveness and performance frameworks.
- Tooling & Innovation: Evaluate and onboard the next generation of SEO, search intelligence, and AI analysis tools, develop frameworks for measuring GEO impact, AI visibility, and share of voice across emerging search environments, and contribute to internal capability development and knowledge-sharing across the business.
What You Bring
- 9+ Years of Experience: Extensive background in SEO and organic search strategy, with significant experience in an agency environment managing large-scale, multi-regional accounts.
- Deep Singapore & SEA Market Knowledge: Proven track record of navigating the nuances of the Southeast Asian digital landscape, including local search behaviours and regional engine preferences.
- AI & Tech Fluency: Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), natural language processing, and how Generative AI processes and cites information.
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of technical SEO audits, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and industry-standard tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Botify.
- Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to distil technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for clients and internal leadership.
- Experience working cross-functionally with content, analytics, media, and client leadership teams.
