Role Description
This executive-level role is responsible for turning data into a strategic business asset. It focuses on enterprise data strategy, analytics capability building, business intelligence (BI), and decision intelligence to support growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Director of Data & Analytics focuses on overall data strategy, governance, analytics platforms, and advanced analytics capabilities across the enterprise
- Head of Business Intelligence Strategy focuses specifically on BI systems, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data-driven decision-making for leadership teams
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and executing enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy
- Building scalable data platforms, pipelines, and BI architecture
- Leading business intelligence reporting, dashboards, and executive insights
- Driving data governance, quality, and standardization across the organization
- Enabling self-service analytics and data democratization
- Partnering with business leaders to define KPIs and performance metrics
- Overseeing advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI-driven insights
- Managing data engineering, BI, analytics, and data science teams
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
- Translating business problems into actionable data solutions
Qualifications (Must-have)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
- 10–18+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, data engineering, or analytics leadership roles
- Strong understanding of data architecture, warehousing, and analytics ecosystems
- Proven experience leading enterprise BI or analytics transformations
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Ability to translate complex data into business insights and strategy
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams
- Strong analytical thinking and business acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift
- Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., data cataloging, metadata management)
- Background in industries such as fintech, retail, e-commerce, telecom, healthcare, or SaaS
- Experience in predictive analytics, AI/ML, or decision intelligence systems
- Familiarity with data engineering pipelines (ETL/ELT) and modern data stacks
- Experience working in consulting firms or large enterprises
- MBA or advanced analytics qualification is a plus
- Experience leading regional or global analytics organizations
