Position Summary:

If you are a Director, APAC Marketing professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. In this strategic leadership role, you will lead regional marketing strategy, execution, and business performance across Asia-Pacific, excluding China. As a key member of both the Global Marketing Leadership Team and Regional Marketing Leadership Team, you will connect enterprise growth priorities with regional market needs, helping drive customer engagement, demand generation, brand awareness, pipeline growth, and sustainable business results. This position offers the opportunity to influence global strategy, partner with senior leaders across the organization, and lead a talented, geographically diverse team across some of the world's most dynamic markets.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the APAC regional marketing organization outside China, including direct and matrixed team members across multiple countries, cultures, and functions.
  • Develop and execute annual and multi-year regional marketing strategies aligned with global business objectives and regional growth priorities.
  • Build, coach, and develop a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team that supports individual growth and organizational success.
  • Partner with sales, services, business, and marketing leaders to identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, and prioritize growth investments.
  • Lead integrated demand generation and customer engagement programs across digital marketing, communications, events, partner marketing, technical marketing, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Adapt global campaigns, messaging, and customer experiences to increase relevance, engagement, and business impact across local markets.
  • Establish success measures, evaluate campaign and program performance, and optimize investments based on measurable business outcomes, including pipeline, revenue contribution, and customer engagement.
  • Serve as an external spokesperson and thought leader through industry events, customer engagements, conferences, media opportunities, social channels, and internal forums.
  • Communicate compelling perspectives on company strategy, solutions, customer challenges, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Translate customer insights and regional market dynamics into recommendations that influence global strategy, investment decisions, and execution priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Units, Operations, Communications, and regional teams to drive shared business outcomes.
  • Manage regional budgets, workforce planning, performance reporting, resource allocation, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Champion data-informed decision-making, operational discipline, continuous improvement, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Represent APAC marketing within global and regional leadership forums, ensuring regional perspectives help inform enterprise-wide decisions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Significant experience in marketing, commercial strategy, business leadership, or a related field with responsibility for regional, multinational, or global programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing geographically distributed teams within multicultural environments.
  • Experience in test and measurement, industrial technology, enterprise software, manufacturing technology, engineering-focused industries, business-to-business technology, or other complex technical markets.
  • Strong business and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect marketing investments to customer engagement, pipeline generation, revenue growth, and business outcomes.
  • The ability to understand technical products, engineering-driven solutions, and customer applications and translate them into meaningful business value.
  • Experience turning complex concepts into clear, compelling, and customer-relevant communications.
  • A demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and delivering measurable outcomes through integrated marketing programs and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills in English.
  • The ability and willingness to travel regularly across APAC and internationally.
  • Residence within the APAC region, subject to applicable employment and work authorization requirements.
  • A bachelor's degree, professional qualification, or an equivalent combination of practical experience and demonstrated success in engineering, computer science, marketing, business, communications, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of the test and measurement market, engineering workflows, or adjacent industrial technology sectors.
  • Experience owning APAC regional marketing strategy, growth planning, and execution.
  • Experience working within a complex, highly matrixed global organization.
  • Proficiency in an Asian language in addition to professional fluency in English.
  • A master's degree in business administration, international business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience representing an organization through executive presentations, customer events, industry conferences, media engagements, analyst briefings, or thought leadership programs.
  • Experience leading marketing transformation, digital marketing, commercial excellence, or customer experience initiatives.
