The Director of Events, APJ will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of regional and in-market events across Asia Pacific and Japan, including proprietary customer conferences, industry trade shows and third-party sponsorships.
This individual will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and regional leaders to deliver integrated event experiences that drive pipeline, deepen customer engagement, and amplify our presence across key markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end APJ events strategy, aligning with global field marketing and sales priorities while adapting to regional needs.
- Plan and execute high-impact programs-both physical and virtual-that support pipeline growth, customer retention, and community engagement.
- Partner closely with APJ field marketing, sales leadership, customer success, and product marketing to localize event content and maximize relevance.
- Manage a mix of third-party sponsorships, owned events, and customer-led programs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand experience across formats.
- Define and track event KPIs-pipeline contribution, attendee quality, content engagement, and ROI-delivering clear insights and performance reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance on event strategy, execution, and best practices.
- Build and manage vendor and agency partnerships across the region, ensuring effective collaboration and on-budget execution.
- Maintain a high standard of operational excellence, from financial and logistics planning to on-site execution, brand consistency and post-event follow-up.
Who You Are
- A senior events professional with 10+ years of B2B experience, preferably within the software or technology sector.
- Deep understanding of APJ markets, especially Southeast Asia, ANZ, Japan, and India, with hands-on experience producing events in multiple countries.
- Based in Singapore with the ability to travel across the region (approx. 20-30%).
- Strong communicator with proven success aligning internal stakeholders, including executives, around complex event plans and goals.
- Confident working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and balancing multiple programs simultaneously.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent attendee experiences and flawless execution.
- Experienced in managing large budgets, negotiating contracts, and project managing cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and turn it into actionable insights.
