The Director, Market Access APAC reports to VP Global Market Access and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and define the Market Access strategy and execution for Telix's portfolio of current and future radiopharmaceutical products within the International Markets, Asia Pacific (APAC). The Director, Market Access (APAC) is responsible for achieving optimal market access for Telix products in the Asia Pacific Markets, which includes Japan, Australia, China and Korea. The position may include 50% travel.
Key Accountabilities
- Market Access Strategy Development: Define and develop market access strategies for new products and assets, guiding them from early stages through commercialization focused on Asia Pacific Markets.
- Coverage and Access Execution: Execute market access activities for Telix products in APAC Markets by navigating country-specific regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement requirements to ensure timely and optimal access.
- Pre-Commercialization Research: Conduct research on industry trends related to pricing, reimbursement, and market access. Communicate proactive strategies to the Senior Leadership Team to address anticipated trends.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of value and access strategies, including pricing research and advisory services, payer engagement, and commercial contracting, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives.
- Collaborative Planning: Actively participate in brand planning activities and contribute to strategic direction across the Telix Portfolio in collaboration with Division and Product leads.
- Access and Reimbursement: Provide leadership and execution around private and public sector coverages, and patient access for portfolio of drugs.
- Forecasting and Analysis: Provide market access forecasting, including pricing and reimbursement assumptions for Asia Pacific markets.
- Strategy Analysis: Assess access-based strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in support of the US and global disease area strategies to ensure long-term viability and success.
- Partner collaboration: Work with partner companies to establish reimbursement strategy and provide alignment between external companies and Telix strategies.
Other Responsibilities
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance programs and successfully participate in training and continuing education programs
- May be assigned additional responsibilities based upon organizational needs
Position Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; life sciences degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in payor/provider relations within pharmaceutical sector; medical device may be considered.
- Proficient understanding of Global healthcare dynamics and the drivers of pharmaceutical value
- Broad understanding of US Healthcare environment and policy as it relates to pricing outside the US.
- Must understand how to impact process with payors for obtaining coverage decisions
- Demonstrated ability to be successful in consultative selling situations/markets
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to travel at 50% level within designated region, and occasional company meetings
