We are partnered with a top-tier financial insititution in the region and are currently searching for a strategic IT leader to spearhead their infrastructure architecture and platform services across the Asia Pacific region. This is a high-impact role driving hybrid cloud adoption, system rationalization, automation, and regulatory alignment at an enterprise scale.
As the Director of Infrastructure Architecture, you will bridge the gap between regional business needs and global IT transformation goals. You will own the end-to-end server platform strategy, driving innovation and resilience across the bank's most critical infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the APAC infrastructure strategy, leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives to align with enterprise architecture and mid-term IT goals.
- Oversee comprehensive server platform services across the region - including compute, virtualization, databases, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Partner with global architecture teams to uplift infrastructure policies, solutions, and engineering standards. Proactively guide regional system rationalization.
- Champion the design and deployment of secure, automated platform services, modern observability tools, and global engineering best practices.
- Command incident management to ensure minimal service disruption. Oversee vendor governance, technology lifecycle management, vulnerability mitigation, and robust disaster recovery/BCP strategies.
- Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring distributed teams of architects and engineers. Deliver clear, executive-level reporting on infrastructure health, risk posture, and financial metrics to global stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT Infrastructure, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
- Proven track record of driving regional or global IT transformation programs, cloud migrations, vendor governance, and multi-cloud strategies.
- Deep architectural understanding of Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Compute, Storage, Backup, and High-Availability design.
- Solid grasp of APAC regulatory mandates (e.g., MAS, APRA, RBI, BNM, BOT), alongside strong foundational knowledge of IT security, risk management, and cybersecurity controls.
- Experience managing distributed teams (onshore and offshore) with strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost optimization.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Must-have Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) OR a relevant Technical domain (e.g., Microsoft MCSE, VMware VCF, Nutanix NCP).
- Good-to-have Security/Risk certifications (CISSP, CISM) or Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2).
