Director, Investment Risk - Global Asset Manager

Our client is a leading global asset manager with a long-term investment horizon and a steadfast commitment to delivering sustainable returns. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced risk or investment professional join a risk team that provides objective insights into investment risk and performance drivers across multi asset.

Responsibilities

You will support the Chief Risk Officer to oversee risk management and ensure robust risk governance across investment activities, supporting the fund's long-term return objectives. Leading a team of risk, and quant risk managers, you will manage a broad spectrum of functions. The team's responsibilities will encompass designing risk and performance methodologies, developing quantitative tools at product and portfolio levels, conducting stress testing and delivering independent performance assessments across asset classes. You will play a critical role in product approvals, investment strategy mandates, hedging proposals, allocation decisions and liquidity management, while representing risk perspectives at management meetings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has outstanding academic credentials and at least 12 years of relevant experience in either trading /fund management or risk management in leading financial institutions or asset managers. You possess a strong quantitative and statistical foundation, with expertise in risk modelling, portfolio construction and asset allocation. You have demonstrated success in managing a diverse team across various specializations and excel at building consensus, making critical decisions and executing strategic initiatives. Your sound knowledge of multi-asset classes and ability to appreciate asset level technical details underpin your conviction in integrating risk considerations into investment decisions. You are a driven, independent and dynamic leader who thrives in a collaborative and forward looking environment.
