Job Description

Shape the future of HR at a leading university. Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, the Director of Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) will lead a dynamic team in driving strategic HR initiatives that empower people, strengthen culture, and advance the university's mission. This is a highimpact leadership role for someone passionate about building engaged HR Partnering teams and delivering exceptional HR experiences.

  • Design and implement HR strategies aligned with the university's vision and objectives.

  • Partner with the Chief HR Officer to define HR priorities and lead enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Business Partners to deliver strategic HR guidance across all functions.

  • Build a collaborative, high-performing, and results-oriented team environment.

  • Establish strong relationships with university leadership and departments to understand and address HR needs.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations on HR-related matters.

  • Drive employee engagement and proactively manage employee relations throughout the employee lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (COE) to ensure timely recruitment of talent with the right competencies.

  • Champion organizational excellence, job redesign, and resource optimization through transformative HR initiatives.

  • Promote business ownership of talent by coaching managers on career development and leadership growth.

  • Review and refine HR strategies, policies, and procedures specific to Faculty and Research Schemes.

  • Recommend and implement changes to strengthen the delivery of professional HR services.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 20 years of HR experience, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.

  • Deep knowledge of the full HR spectrum, with proven ability to lead strategic initiatives.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and influence without authority.

  • Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and can anticipate future needs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building trust across diverse stakeholders.

  • Resourceful, pragmatic, and solutionsoriented mindset.

  • Solid understanding of Employment Act and Labour Laws.
