Job Description

The Director, Group CCO Office is a key leadership role supporting the Group Chief Corporate Officer (Group CCO) in driving the Group's corporate priorities and ensuring effective execution of key initiatives across the organisation.

Working closely with the Group CCO and senior leadership, the Director serves as a strategic thought partner, integrator and execution lead, providing high-quality insights and decision support, connecting priorities across businesses and functions, and ensuring that key decisions and commitments are translated into action.

The role is also responsible for driving the effectiveness of the Group CCO Office through strong planning, governance, stakeholder alignment and disciplined execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Priorities & Execution

  • Partner with the Group CCO to shape, priorities and drive key corporate and Group-level priorities.
  • Translate priorities into clear initiatives, outcomes, milestones and accountabilities.
  • Drive alignment and execution of Group CCO-sponsored initiatives across businesses and functions.
  • Identify emerging issues, opportunities and dependencies requiring Group CCO attention.
  • Lead or coordinate selected strategic and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Group CCO.

Executive & Decision Support

  • Provide strategic analysis, insights and recommendations to support the Group CCO's decision-making.
  • Synthesise complex information from across the organisation into clear, decision-oriented perspectives.
  • Prepare executive briefs, management papers, presentations and talking points for key internal and external engagements.
  • Anticipate issues requiring Group CCO attention and proactively develop options and recommendations.
  • Ensure effective follow-through on key decisions and commitments.

Governance & Management Cadence

  • Drive the management and governance cadence for the Group CCO Office, including leadership meetings, reviews and planning sessions.
  • Shape agendas to focus leadership attention on the most important strategic and corporate issues.
  • Track key decisions, actions and commitments and ensure clear accountability and timely follow-through.
  • Provide visibility on progress, risks, interdependencies and matters requiring escalation.

Stakeholder Alignment & Integration

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the Group.
  • Act as an integrator across businesses and functions, connecting issues, priorities and stakeholders to enable effective execution.
  • Facilitate alignment and resolution of complex cross-functional matters.
  • Support the Group CCO in managing key internal and external stakeholder engagements.
  • Represent the Group CCO Office in selected working groups, steering committees and strategic initiatives, as appropriate.

Group CCO Office Effectiveness

  • Drive the overall effectiveness and ways of working of the Group CCO Office.
  • Ensure the Group CCO's time and attention are focused on the highest-value priorities.
  • Enable effective information flow and coordination between the Group CCO and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a forward view of upcoming priorities, decisions, engagements and potential issues.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters with a high degree of judgement and discretion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Communications or a related discipline postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
  • Significant experience in strategy, corporate affairs, business management, corporate planning, transformation, management consulting or a comparable leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders in a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong track record of leading and coordinating strategic, enterprise-wide and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand a broad range of corporate, strategic and organisational issues.
  • Experience in telecommunications, technology or a complex multi-business environment would be advantageous.
