POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Global Quality Compliance is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the company's Global Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing sites, design centers, and global operations. This leader will also own and drive the Global Internal Audit program, ensuring rigorous compliance to QMS requirements, identifying systemic risks, and enforcing timely and sustainable closure of non compliances.

This role requires strong expertise in end to end QMS management, manufacturing quality, design quality processes, and proven ability to drive accountability and compliance across multiple regions and business units.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Global Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership
  • Own and continuously improve the company-wide Global QMS and its governance framework.
  • Ensure QMS alignment with applicable standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or others as relevant), customer requirements, and internal corporate policies.
  • Lead harmonization of QMS processes across manufacturing sites, design organizations, and global functions.
  • Define, publish, and maintain global procedures, standards, and compliance guidelines.
  • Provide strategic direction to regional and site Quality teams on QMS implementation and execution.
  • Internal Audit Program Ownership
  • Lead the Global Internal Quality Audit program covering manufacturing factories, design centers, and supporting functions.
  • Develop an annual risk based audit plan, covering compliance, process robustness, and systemic quality risks.
  • Ensure audits are executed rigorously, objectively, and with consistent methodology across all sites.
  • Drive identification of non-compliance issues (process, system, people, or documentation-related).
  • Track site-level accountability for Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), ensuring timely and sustainable closure.
  • Escalate systemic gaps and quality risks to senior leadership proactively.
  • Manufacturing Compliance Oversight
  • Partner closely with Factory Quality and Manufacturing Operations to ensure operational discipline, control, and adherence to QMS requirements.
  • Verify compliance of critical manufacturing processes including material control, process change management, validation, inspection, testing, and nonconformance management.
  • Drive root cause elimination initiatives for recurring audit findings.
  • Design Compliance and R&D Quality Alignment
  • Ensure design quality processes (e.g., Design Control, NPI readiness, FMEA, risk management) meet global standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D, AME, and NPI organizations to ensure early and robust quality compliance from design to mass production.
  • Culture & Compliance Reinforcement
  • Promote a global culture of Zero Tolerance for Non Compliance and operational discipline.
  • Coach site leaders on compliance expectations and best practices.
  • Lead capability-building efforts in QMS, compliance, and audit effectiveness across all global locations.
  • Metrics, Reporting, and Management Visibility
  • Establish compliance and audit KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for executive leadership.
  • Present key compliance risks, trends, and improvement actions to senior management and cross-functional leaders.
  • Exercises significant discretion and independent judgment in making operational, financial, and strategic decisions that impact the organization's direction and performance.
  • Responsible for leading, coaching, and evaluating subordinate employees; this role holds authority in matters of hiring, disciplinary action, performance appraisal, promotion, and termination.
  • Has access to and handles confidential and sensitive business information, including but not limited to employee relations cases, compensation data, strategic plans, financial results, and trade secrets.
  • Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Works in a standard office environment and uses office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 1215 years of experience in Quality Management in high tech manufacturing, electronics, EMS, or equivalent hardware production environment.
  • Deep expertise in QMS systems (ISO 9001 required; ISO 13485 or IATF 16949 is a strong plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive compliance, enforcement, and closure of systemic quality issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at executive level.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence global teams.
  • High integrity, discipline, and commitment to compliance.
  • Ability to identify systemic issues and drive closure with urgency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk-based thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, and functions.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience leading global internal audit programs.
  • Strong background working with manufacturing factories (Asia preferred) and design/R&D organizations.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS operations, or equivalent complex hardware production environments.
  • Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing multi-site global quality systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to influence without direct authority.

EDUCATION:
Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
