Job Responsibilities
- Lead the origination and execution of business opportunities with financial institutions-primarily banks, but also including bank-owned securities firms, insurers and asset managers.
- Clients include those headquartered in Singapore as well as international clients with a large Singapore presence.
- Act as a solutions provider, identifying and delivering comprehensive corporate banking, global markets and investment banking products to both domestic and international clients.
- Champion the regional FIC (Financial Institutions Coverage) strategy, working closely with the APAC Head of FIC.
- Work closely with other coverage bankers and internal partners to promote cross-border business and maximize product penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships at the senior management level with clients, positioning the bank as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Expand the client base by proactively sourcing and cultivating new relationships with a diverse range of financial institutions.
- Driving revenue growth through cross-selling a suite of products such as financing solutions, global markets, transaction banking and capital markets, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and group companies.
- Conduct in-depth sector and client analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding of the financial services landscape.
- Oversee the credit portfolio for clients, ensuring robust risk assessment and ongoing monitoring in partnership with credit and risk teams.
- Foster an ecosystem of originate-to-distribute by partnering with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Manage ad-hoc administrative and leadership tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of direct experience managing Financial Institutions clients (including banks, securities firms, insurers or asset managers) in Singapore and/or other Asia-Pacific markets, ideally at a leading global bank.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering a broad range of financial solutions to FI and NBFI clients, with a strong understanding of global markets, transaction banking, capital markets and advisory products.
- Proven track record in relationship management, client origination, and business development within the financial institutions sector.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for building and expanding business and a commitment to developing junior talent.
