Director, Finance Operations & Advisory Enablement

We are looking for a Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong operational leadership, data and technology fluency, and an advisory mindset to lead our finance operations and support the next phase of CFO-level services.

This is a senior role focused on building scalable finance operations, developing high-quality teams, and supporting advisory and fractional CFO work across growing businesses. The role sits at the intersection of people, process, and systems, working closely with leadership to strengthen delivery quality, improve economics, and contribute to the development of our CFO co-pilot and finance platform.

In addition to strong finance fundamentals, this role requires hands-on capability in automation and data workflows. You will be expected to work comfortably with tools such as Python, Google Apps Script, or VBA to automate finance processes, prototype solutions, and build operational dashboards across databases and reporting tools.

You will work closely with the General Manager, Directors, and senior stakeholders, providing practical financial judgement as the business scales and evolves toward higher-value advisory and platform-led services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Operations Leadership

• Own operational performance across accounting, reporting, and compliance services

• Drive productivity, margin, and service quality across finance operations

• Define operating standards, SOPs, review frameworks, and escalation protocols

• Act as the final quality gate for complex accounting, tax, and regulatory matters

2. Talent Development & Professional Standards

• Train and mentor accounting teams to operate at Singapore CA-equivalent standards

• Design structured capability pathways covering technical depth, judgement, and communication

• Translate Singapore regulatory rigor into scalable offshore execution

• Build a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement

3. Advisory & Fractional CFO Enablement

• Serve as the senior finance counterpart for fractional CFO engagements

• Support client-facing advisory with financial rigor, analysis, and governance

• Review complex advisory outputs (e.g. cash flow strategy, restructuring, controls)

• Act as the escalation point where advisory ambition meets accounting reality

4. Data, Automation & CFO Co-Pilot Collaboration

• Partner with product and technology teams to operationalize finance workflows

• Design and build automations, scripts, and lightweight tools using Python, Google Apps Script, or VBA

• Create and maintain automated dashboards across databases and reporting platforms

• Define data structures, controls, and logic that power advisory and CFO insights

• Translate accounting rules and professional judgement into system logic and AI-assisted workflows

• Continuously reduce reliance on manual work and human review through automation

5. Stakeholder & Leadership Partnership

• Work closely with the GM, Directors, and senior stakeholders on growth and risk

• Provide grounded financial judgement in scaling and transformation decisions

• Balance commercial ambition with regulatory and professional discipline

• Act as a trusted internal advisor as the business evolves toward higher-value advisory services

Requirements

• Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification

• 10+ years experience across accounting, audit, or finance leadership roles

• Proven experience managing teams and complex finance operations

• Strong command of Singapore accounting, tax, and compliance standards

• Hands-on experience with automation or scripting (e.g. Python, Google Apps Script, VBA)

Strong Advantage

• Exposure to advisory or fractional CFO environments

• Experience working with offshore or cross-border teams

• Ability to build automated dashboards across databases and analytics tools

• High comfort with data pipelines, systems integration, and modern finance tooling

• Ability to think in workflows, controls, and systems, not just transactions
