JLL Capital Markets in Asia Pacific is a leading provider of integrated real estate capital solutions across
Investment Sales, Debt Advisory, and Equity Advisory. Our team advises corporate and institutional clients on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic portfolio reviews, joint ventures, and capital raising initiatives across the region.
Our Equity Advisory (EA) practice delivers strategic real estate advisory services to clients seeking to raise equity capital through primary fund launches, secondary unit trades, joint venture equity placements, club deals, separately managed accounts, and recapitalisations. With strong synergies across Investment Sales, Debt Advisory, and Equity Advisory, JLL is uniquely positioned to offer holistic capital solutions to investors and owners throughout the capital stack.
To further enhance our client offering and deepen investor relationships, we are creating a dedicated role to drive coordination, efficiency, and cross-selling across our capital coverage and distribution activities in Asia Pacific.
The
Director, Distribution & Capital Coverage Support will serve as a central coordination hub for capital coverage and fund distribution activities across JLL's Equity Advisory and broader Capital Markets platform in Asia Pacific. This role is critical to our engagement with institutional investors—both within APAC and globally—and ensuring seamless execution of capital raising and transactional mandates.
Reporting into the APAC Equity Advisory leadership, this position will work closely with country-level coverage teams, global distribution desks (EMEA & Americas), Investment Sales, Debt Advisory, and the Global Funds Distribution team under a One JLL approach.
Key Responsibilities
The Capital Coverage Coordinator plays a pivotal role in strengthening JLL's investor engagement and distribution capabilities across Asia Pacific. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting senior in-country coverage professionals by coordinating distribution materials, aligning internal teams, and driving deeper penetration of capital coverage within the region.
- Serving as the key liaison between APAC and global distribution/fundraising teams in EMEA and the Americas to ensure seamless cross-regional collaboration.
- Focusing on mid-sized and smaller institutional investors in Asia Pacific—including pension funds, insurance companies, credit unions, and gatekeepers—with an appetite for passive, indirect real estate exposure (global or regional mandates).
- Assisting in the coordination of outreach to non-APAC mid-sized institutional investors seeking exposure to Asia Pacific indirect real estate strategies (inbound capital flows).
- Maintaining an up-to-date investor universe database, including contact details, mandates, allocation preferences, and historical engagement, and regularly sharing actionable intelligence with the broader JLL APAC Capital Markets team.
- Enhancing deal team efficiency by coordinating roadshow logistics, tracking calendars, capturing detailed call notes, and supporting timely follow-ups.
- Providing project management support for select Equity Advisory (EA) or larger Investment Sales (IS) mandates involving capital raising components.
- Participating in client roadshows and investor meetings as needed to provide operational and analytical support.
- Monitoring macro-level capital flows and investor trends, and contributing to internal reports and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What This Role Involves:
- Being a Self-Starter: You take full ownership of initiatives—from early-stage idea generation through to execution—working independently with minimal supervision.
- Fostering Collaboration: At JLL, collaboration is core to our success. In this role, you will actively partner across teams—including Equity Advisory, Investment Sales, Debt Advisory, Global Investment Banking, Capital Markets Pursuits, and Global Funds Distribution—to unlock synergies, share best practices, and maximise business opportunities under the OneJLL approach.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in real estate fund distribution, capital raising, institutional sales, or investor relations—preferably within real estate private equity, investment banking, or a global real estate advisor.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of institutional real estate investors in APAC and their investment behaviours. Existing network with pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, or gatekeepers is highly desirable.
- Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work effectively across functions, geographies, and seniority levels in a matrixed organisation. You are seen as a trusted partner who brings people together to deliver client-centric outcomes.
- Self-Starter & Owner: Comfortable taking initiative from idea stage through execution—proactive, organised, and detail-oriented.
- Dynamic & Adaptable: Thrive in a fast-paced, opportunity-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, concise, and professional in both written and verbal communication—able to distil complex information for diverse audiences.
