As the Director of Digital Solutions & Services (DSS), you will lead NYP's digital transformation through the strategic oversight of two key pillars:
. Information Systems
. ICT, Cloud Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
[What you will be working on]
Information Systems (IS)
- Provide strategic leadership for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of NYP's information systems, ensuring alignment with institutional needs and GovTech's Digital Service Standards.
- Lead the team in the planning, resource management, and execution of system development and support activities, ensuring smooth operations and high user satisfaction.
- Lead in stakeholder engagements and team to develop the next generation digital solutions (e.g. student information management system) adoption AI solutions and cloud-native technologies.
- Support user empowerment through low-code/no-code tools like Power Apps and Power Automate to enable operational efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to institutional IT planning (e.g., NYP IT Master Plan), including policy and strategy co-development with academic and administrative leaders.
ICT, Cloud Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
- IT & AI Infrastructure & Data Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and modernization of IT infrastructure and AI platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance environments that support NYP's academic and operational needs. This includes supporting on-premises AI workloads, data lifecycle governance, and facilitating data-driven initiatives across the institution.
- Network & Internet Infrastructure: Ensure robust, secure, and high-availability campus-wide network connectivity (wired and wireless), including internet and intranet services. Lead efforts to upgrade and maintain network architecture in alignment with evolving security standards and performance demands.
- IT Services & Project Management Office: Lead the provision of end-user computing services, service desk support, and device lifecycle management. Oversee the central coordination of IT projects through the PMO, ensuring alignment with NYP's strategic priorities, on-time delivery, resource efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Cybersecurity & ICT Governance: Provide strategic oversight of cybersecurity initiatives, including risk management, policy compliance (e.g. IM8), audit readiness, and security operations. Drive ICT governance efforts to ensure safe adoption of SaaS/COTS, uphold data protection standards, and align with Whole-of-Government (WOG) directives and GovTech's security frameworks.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in IT with strong track record in systems development, infrastructure, digital transformation, or cybersecurity.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficient in modern application architectures, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and ICT compliance (e.g., IM8, Zero Trust).
- Strong strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills able to drive organisational change.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities adaptable, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
