Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a senior commercial leader to own the company's commercial strategy, business planning, and financial discipline-building scalable B2B growth across corporate gifting, premium personalization services, workshops, and brand/event collaborations. This role will work closely with founders to drive revenue strategy, profitability, and investment/funding narratives to support the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

1) Commercial Strategy & Business Planning

  • Define annual/quarterly commercial strategy and operating plan across B2B segments (corporate gifting, workshops, events/activations).

  • Build end-to-end business plans: revenue targets, channel strategy, client segmentation, and key initiatives with measurable KPIs.

  • Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with founders: performance tracking, pipeline health, key risks, and decision recommendations.

2) Financial Planning, Pricing & Profitability

  • Own pricing strategy and margin governance: product/service pricing, customization fee structures, and discounting guardrails.

  • Develop financial models to evaluate new offerings and partnerships, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

  • Drive budgeting inputs and forecasting discipline strengthen reporting to support clearer commercial decision-making.

3) B2B Growth, Partnerships & Regional Expansion (Mandarin-ready)

  • Shape B2B go-to-market approach: target industries, key account strategy, partner channels (e.g., event agencies, brand partners).

  • Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships, including Mandarin-speaking clients/partners, to unlock regional opportunities.

  • Support founders on strategic negotiations and partnership structuring to protect profitability and brand positioning.

4) Fundraising & Investor/Partner Readiness

  • Support fundraising and strategic financing efforts by crafting commercial narratives, market sizing, growth projections, and KPI packs.

  • Prepare investor-ready materials: business plan assumptions, unit economics, pipeline proof points, and strategic roadmap.

  • Coordinate data room readiness for commercial/financial inputs (as needed), ensuring consistency and credibility of the story.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years in commercial strategy, business planning, corporate development, finance strategy, or B2B growth roles premium retail / gifting / experiences is a plus.

  • Strong financial rigor: pricing, margin management, forecasting, and business modeling.

  • Comfortable operating with founders and senior stakeholders able to influence decisions with structured, data-backed insights.

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA/CA/ACCA) is a strong advantage.

  • Fundraising exposure (investor materials, projections, commercial narrative) is a plus.
